It is utterly mind-blowing that the technology for electric vehicles has existed for so long and has gone un-honed and un-promoted for all this time.  Meet the Nissan Tama, an electric car from — yes, you read that right — 1947.  Developed in the wake of the WWII, the Tama was introduced at a time when oil was hard to come by.  So, if the technology has been around since at least the 40s…what’s taking us so long to hone the engineering?!
