Last week, Lamborgini announced its decision to abandon plans to produce a four-door sedan that would have competed with the Maserati Quattroporte, the soon-to-be Porsche Panamera, and the maybe-some-day Aston Martin Rapide. Named for a special sword used by bullfighters, the Estoque, was to be Lamborghini’s attempt to offer a modicum of practicality to its buying audience, which consists predominantly of performance-desiring individuals.
