April 24, 2009A Must for the Speed Demon
I’ll admit it: sometimes I’m a speed demon. Sometimes, the road beckons to me. It tells my foot to press harder on the pedal. It tells my shifting hand to throw the engine down a gear, gun the motor and maximize acceleration. On occasion, against good judgment, it tells me to take that upcoming bend in the road hard and, once in a while, it tells me it’s okay to weave in between cars.

Thankfully, being over the age of 21 and having driven for the last eight or nine years, I know when to take it easy and when it’s okay to get my pace on. At least, this is the hope. But as most driving enthusiasts know, the need for speed is like an irrational craving and sometimes it can’t be suppressed. And when the need for speed strikes at the wrong time, most of us have radar dectors to ward off speeding tickets. Automobile Magazine offers the download on two of the best that money can buy…
